Hi, I’m Tessie
I’m a food photographer and recipe creator from Dublin, Ireland, now living in Georgia. I moved to America in 2015 and have come to love the life I’ve built here, the people, the culture and especially the food. Ireland will always be part of who I am, but America is home.
I’m endlessly curious about what Americans love to cook and eat. Southern comfort food, backyard barbecue, Tex-Mex, diner classics, holiday dishes. I love learning the stories behind them, photographing them and making them in my own kitchen.
I still miss the meals I grew up with. Irish food will always feel familiar in a way nothing else quite can. But America is home now, and it has my heart. Tessie’s Table is where I share the recipes I love, the ones I’ve discovered here and the occasional taste of where I came from.
Meet Fionn and Oisin, my Goldendoodles and unofficial kitchen assistants. They’re usually nearby when I’m cooking, mostly because they’re hoping something will fall on the floor. They’ve also been known to steal a sausage or two when no one is looking.

Tessie’s Table is a celebration of American food and the people and places behind it. You’ll find recipes I genuinely enjoy making, from familiar favorites to dishes that are completely new to me. Some remind me of Ireland. Others could only have come from America. All of them have earned a place at my table, and I hope a few of them earn a place at yours too.
