Week 1: Summer BBQ Dinners to Kick Off July (July 1–4)
Week one goes straight into summer mode. BBQ Beef Tacos on Wednesday are a great slow cooker win — throw the beef in during the day and come home to tacos. BBQ Sausage Bites on Thursday are quick, easy, and perfect for a summer weeknight. Lemon Garlic Chicken Thighs on Friday are a solid go-to that never disappoints, and the week wraps up in style on Saturday the 4th with Fall Off The Bone Oven BBQ Ribs — the perfect Independence Day dinner.
Week 2: Quick Weeknight Dinners and Grill Favorites (July 5–11)
This week has a great variety. Turkey Feta Meatballs with Zucchini on Sunday are a lighter option that still feels satisfying, and Salmon Scampi Pasta on Monday is a restaurant-quality dinner you can pull off on a weeknight. Gochujang Pasta on Tuesday is labeled as a dinner under 30 minutes — spicy, creamy, and done fast. Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken Tenders on Wednesday are always a crowd favorite, Portuguese Chicken on Thursday is packed with flavor, and Bang Bang Chicken Skewers on Friday are going straight on the grill. The week closes out on Saturday with Instant Pot Chicken Tinga Tacos — which also sets you up nicely for Sunday.
Week 3: Easy Family Dinners and Slow Cooker Saves (July 12–18)
This is the week to batch cook. Chicken Tinga Rice Bowls on Sunday are the perfect use of any leftover Chicken Tinga from Saturday — less cooking, more eating. Slow Cooker Brisket on Monday is a set-it-and-forget-it dinner that the whole house will smell amazing. Big Mac Tater Tot Casserole on Tuesday is one of the most fun recipes on the plan — all the Big Mac flavors layered under crispy tater tots. Baja Fish Tacos on Wednesday are light and fresh for a summer midweek dinner, Cilantro Lime Chicken with Rice on Thursday is a simple weeknight winner, and the weekend rounds out with Shredded Beef Sliders on Friday and Baby Back Barbecue Ribs on Saturday.
Week 4: Summer Salads, Grilling, and Fun Weekend Dinners (July 19–25)
The most varied week of the month. Creamy Vegan Polenta with Roasted Ratatouille on Sunday is a gorgeous plant-based dinner that’s perfect for a warm evening. Blistered Shishito and Sweet Corn Quinoa Salad on Monday keeps things light, and Summer Picnic Pasta Salad on Tuesday is great for making ahead. Rainbow Quinoa Salad with Cashew Tzatziki on Wednesday is one I’m genuinely curious about — a dairy-free cashew tzatziki sounds amazing. Smoked Meatballs on Thursday and Thin Cut Chicken Breasts on the BBQ on Friday keep the grill going, and the week closes with a Burger Dog on Saturday — burger meat, hot dog style, in a bun. It’s fun, it’s summer, it’s everything.
Week 5: Easy Dinners to Finish Out July (July 26–31)
Five dinners to close out the month and they’re all good ones. Taco Bell Breakfast Crunchwraps Copycat on Sunday is a breakfast-for-dinner moment that the whole family will love. New Orleans BBQ Shrimp on Monday is quick and packed with flavor, Broccoli Pesto on Tuesday is a lighter veggie-forward option, and Chicken Pasta Primavera on Wednesday is a fresh, summery pasta that comes together fast. Bruschetta Pasta on Thursday is the perfect way to use up summer tomatoes, and Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Fajitas on Friday wrap up July on a high note — throw it in the slow cooker in the morning and dinner is ready when you are.
How to Use This Free July Meal Plan
You don’t have to follow this plan day by day. You can use it however it works best for your life.
- Swap meals around freely. The plan is a starting point, not a strict schedule. If Saturday’s recipe looks more like a Tuesday dinner to you, flip them. Nothing is set in stone.
- Use the slow cooker meals on your busiest days. The BBQ Beef Tacos and Slow Cooker Brisket both take about 10 minutes of hands-on time in the morning. Move them to whatever day is hardest for you.
- Double up when you can. The Chicken Tinga is already planned across two days — tacos on Saturday, rice bowls on Sunday. Do the same with the Shredded Beef if you want an easy leftover night.
- Keep the grocery list simple. Look through two weeks at a time. Chicken, garlic, olive oil, and pasta show up in multiple recipes — buying those in bulk saves time and money.
- Build in a night off. This plan is meant to make your month easier, not add pressure. Swap in a takeout night or leftovers night wherever it makes sense for your family.
