Equipment

  • Sheet pan
  • Skillet
  • Measuring cup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 11-ounce bag tortilla chips
  • 4 ounces queso dip
  • ½ pound shredded cheese
  • 2-3 green onions chopped
  • 2 Roma tomatoes seeded and chopped
  • 1 jalapeño sliced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 12x14 baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then return the beef to the skillet. Stir in taco seasoning and water, then simmer for 4-5 minutes until most of the liquid evaporates.
  • Spread tortilla chips evenly on the lined baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with queso and add the taco-seasoned beef on top.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese and jalapeño slices.
  • Bake for 4-5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the chips are warm.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro. Serve with sour cream or any extra toppings you like.
